Research and Planning:Shot Idea's

Here are a selection of images I have found in magazines, which gave me idea's to what I could possible use or recreate for my magazine. The first image shows a bold stance of Lewis Hamilton. I like the image because it has been photoshoped onto a new background and shows dominance that conveys to the audience, I would like to do something similar for my front cover.
The second image is a four picture display taken randomly while conducting an interview, I do like it because its not fake like been directed into positions, this covey  to the public the real celebrity what they could associate to.
Third image I like is due to the editing of images being croped giving it a spin on the usual photo editing
The film strip I really like again for the uniqueness of the editing it was taken while conducting  an interview showing the different emotions of the celebrity.
i chosen this shot because of the outside location, the man in the center of the image showing importance, even though its a sunny day a second light source  being used hence the shadow to illuminate the mans face. i will need to add a second light source for the double page spread images since the location is down in the woods

Research and Planning: Double page spread Interview

Jake Armstrong the youngest male artist to be inducted into the prestigious Rock Hall of Fame, we Classic have the exclusive interview of the year. The three track teaser, released next Monday  demonstrates both singing, guitar playing and song writing abilities as well as providing grounding for a future album  Famed initially for being part of the lets say controversial group python and the plane, Jake has focused his efforts into his debue album and endless charity work. Classic caught up with Jake to discuss which artist inspired his career and album, how he gets celebrities involved in charity work and answer questions from you.

Would you consider doing a duet? Who would it be and why?
Lauren Stoke-on-Trent
Yes. I would probably choose someone like Jimmi Hendrix or Avril Lavigne due to growing up listening to her music
If you had an elephant where would you hide it?
Jake London
In the fridge where else?
How much do you earn?
Harry London
Depends on what I have done through the year most of the money I earn if from royalties made from my songs and guest appearances
What was the most pointless question you been asked?
Joe Manchester
Where would you keep an elephant?
How do you feel about the press writing about you?
Kate Leeds
The past two years, yes the articles have been hard to deal with, but the information was true and gave me the wakeup call I needed to change my life
What has been the most expensive thing you have ever bought apart from your house?
Liam Kent
I don’t know to be honest what’s the most expensive thing I’ve ever bought but my car collection must be up there. I don’t really like looking at the amount I spend haha
If you was left on a desert island what three items would you bring?
Sterling Edinburgh
TV, Guitar and a life time of Jaffa Cakes

Research and Planning: Review of work so far and improvements needed

After talking to my tutor about the amount, quality and the direction of my work, I have decided to redesign my magazine to the styles of Classic Rock and Mojo music magazines. Both magazines use distinctive bold lettering in a serif style. With a two tone colour scheme hight lighting the cover stories. The layout of the magazine is centred around the photo both with a dark background, each has a masthead banner and cover stories down each side.

I am going to take the basic layout idea and adapt it to my magazine front cover, after creating a basic draft I will adapt the font and colour scheme to the content page and double page spread.
